NC BOWHUNTERS EXPO

Both the convention and banquet are open to the general public. A full weekend of nothing but Bowhunting!  Indoor 3-D "Bowhunter" shoot, Seminars, vendors in the Exhibitor’s Hall, flint-knapping demonstrations, raffles, evening Awards Banquet with gigantic raffles and auctions!!! 

Beat the winter doldrums by attending the NCBA bowhunter’s Convention and Awards Banquet. You’ll be glad you did!

These hunts will be raffled away at the Banquet Saturday night.. If we have enough, we may raffle some off during the day at the convention.

Friday’s Schedule: (March 28, 2008)

8 am to 2 pm*  ...Vendor set-up.. ALL vendors must be set up, inspected and ready to open by 2 pm!

Convention Opens:  4:00 pm to 8:00 pm..   Vendor booths open..  3-D Shoot OPEN during all Convention hours.
Registration for 3-D "Hunter" shoot begins.

The Convention is a "smoke free" and "alcohol free" event...!  Vendors may stay open if they choose!

Friday Night:  EC Awards "Mini-Banquet" and Hot Dog/BBQ dinner.
DJ  Music until Midnight.. for those who want to stay that long!
Cost: $12.00 per person; Kids under 12  "Free"  with paying adult.

 
Saturday’s Schedule: (March 29, 2008)

9:00 am to 4:00 pm*...Doors Open to Public,  Exhibitor Room Opens.  3-D "Hunter" shoot OPENS at 9 a.m. and continues until 4 pm.

Breakdown 3-D Shoot:  (4 pm to 6 pm);  and set-up tables and podium for banquet...Vendors may remain open until 7 pm.

"Awards Banquet" begins at 6 pm (Social half-hour).. Dinner at 6:30 pm,  until conclusion...  (Need volunteers to break down tables at conclusion)..
The "Awards Banquet"  is a "smoke and alcohol free" event!
Cost: $20.00 per person; Kids under 12  "Free" with paying adult

Sunday's Schedule:  (April 1, 2007)

9:00 am to 4:00 pm*...Doors Open to Public,   Exhibitor Room Opens. 3-D "Hunter" shoot OPENS and continues until 3 pm.

*TICKETS ON SALE NOW for PREMIUM* HUNTS RAFFLE.. 
Details for PREMIUM* HUNTS RAFFLE:  A block of 100-120 tickets will be sold at $100 each. These tickets are available NOW!  You can choose any available number.  Each $100 ticket will also include 30 additional raffle tickets that can be used to win other "Commercial" and "Member" hunts.  ONE dinner banquet ticket will also be included with each $100 ticket if purchased by March 26th.  The purchaser must use this ticket.  It is not transferable to another member/person.

First Prize is an "African Safari" (7-day) hunt with Buchholz Safaris including: Lodging, Meals, Guide Services; Round-Trip Airfare from USA to Johannesburg, S. Africa, (IF minimum of 100 tickets are sold!) ; Pickup and return to airport; Trophy Fee allowance (To Be Announced).  You have to pay shipping of trophies to the USA and taxidermy fees.
NOTE: There will be at least SIX additional hunts given away in the PREMIUM* HUNTS RAFFLE... (Additional hunts to be announced later.) 
However many hunts are in the "Premium Raffle", that many numbers (Ping-pong balls) will be drawn.  The holders of these numbers will come to the front of the room. Each of these people WILL WIN A "PREMIUM" HUNT!   Their numbers (ping-pong balls) will be drawn again,  one at a time.  Members of the audience may "bid" to buy their numbers before and after each ball is drawn. When a number (ball) is drawn, the holder may choose one of the "Premium Hunts" from the list.. except for the "Grand Prize",  which is the hunt with "Buchholz Safaris."   That will be the last one to be given away.

Awards Banquet and Auction Dinner Ticket Reservations:

Contact Convention Coordinator  to reserve tickets no later than March 15, 2007.

Tickets must be ordered in advance for the Awards Banquet and Auction on Saturday evening. 
The cost is $12  per person for adults (Friday p.m.);  and $20 per person for adults (Saturday p.m.);
(Children under 12: "Free") Be sure to tell Deann if you're bring kids,  how many and their ages!

*You may reserve a table in advance with the Banquet Coordinator (for Saturday night), or at the convention during the day, for a table at the banquet for your group of six.

NOTE: "Free" Table spaces, and booths (if available) at Convention for NCBA Local Chapter Clubs..... First come basis! 
Extra tables cost $10 each for all vendors... Call Convention Coordinator to reserve space... Electricity hookup extra also at our cost to local chapter clubs.

Both the Days Inn and Best Western Motels are located on Walnut Street in Cary near the US-64/US-1 Highway... See "GREEN" Arrow on Map! The NC State Fairgrounds is located at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Hillsborough Street. It is about 3 1/2 miles from the Fairgrounds to the Motels in Cary, NC.

Start from Fairgrounds... go southeast o Blue Ridge Rd. toward Hillsborough St./NC-54.... >(.7 mile)
Turn LEFT onto Western Blvd..... >(.1 mile)
Merge onto I-440 S / US-1 toward US-64 W / Apex... >(1.7 miles)
Take the I-440 / I-40 / US-64 E / OUTER BELTLINE exit- EXIT 1 - toward US-70 / Durham/Rocky Mount. >(1.0 mile)
Take the Walnut St. Exit toward Cary...... >(2.0 miles)

LAST MINUTE INFO ON ORDERING BANQUET TICKETS

ATTENTION:  NCBA Members and other interested persons
 
The Convention begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon;  9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday,  and runs until 4 p.m. on Saturday and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Admission- See above for prices.
                                The Convention is OPEN to the general public

3-D "Hunter" Shoot:   The NEW "3-D Hunter Shoot" also is open the same hours as the convention on all three days,  and is OPEN to the General Public as well!  Rules and Shooter fee to be announced at a later date.

The Banquet is also OPEN to the general public.  Tickets to the Banquet are by reservation only.  However, there may be a limited number of tickets available on Saturday.   Banquet ticket prices are $20 per person. Kids under 12 are "Free",  but advance reservations must be made,  same as paying adults.

VENDORS WELCOME and NEEDED ! :  IF you know of anyone, or a business (Hunting related), that may be interested in renting a booth at our convention,  please refer them to the President (Ramon Bell),  or the Program Chairman (Jeff Morrison.)  We have about 30-35..  10'x10' booths for rent inside the building and about 20 booths outside on the front concrete pad.
Cost for booth rentals for the entire weekend are
$200 for "interior" and $250 for "corner" booths.. INSIDE the building; 
$150 for "interior" and $175 for "corner" booths OUTSIDE the building on the front concrete pad.
