23rd Annual NCBA Convention & Banquet

Attention Bowhunters:

Come join us in Raleigh for the North Carolina Bowhunters Association’s 23rd Annual Awards Banquet and
NC BOWHUNTERS VENUE

Both the convention and banquet are open to the general public. A full weekend of nothing but Bowhunting!  Indoor 3-D " Shoot, Seminars, vendors in the Exhibitor’s Hall, flint-knapping demonstrations, evening Awards Banquet with gigantic raffles and auctions!!! 

This year's special Guest Speaker:  Mr.  T.J. Conrads;  Editor/Publisher/Founder of "Traditional Bowhunter Magazine". (See below for brief biography.)

Beat the winter doldrums by attending the NCBA Bowhunter’s Venue at the Dixie Deer Classic.. and our annual Awards Banquet.

9:00 am to 6:00 pm*...Doors Open to Public,  Exhibitor Room Opens.  3-D "Hunter" shoot OPENS at 9 a.m. and continues until 4 pm in the Dorton Arena.

Saturday...  3-D shoot will be closed at 4 pm on Saturday.

Admission to Banquets:  ALL RESERVED TICKETS!
Friday: As of now,  there are no plans to hold a special "Friday Night Social" at this years event.
Saturday "Banquet": Adults:   $25 per person;  Kids under 12.. "Free"; 
    $10 Cover Charge to attend Banquet ONLY... Meal NOT included !
    Banquet tickets are $15 when purchased in conjunction with a "Premium" Raffle ticket before February 26, 2009..
    Total: $115 each for Premium Raffle Ticket and Banquet Ticket...must be purchased by February 26, 2009 to get $10 discount.

BOOTH SPACE and TABLES at CONVENTION:   Contact Ramon Bell for information on leasing booth space in the Kerr-Scott building or on the front patio.  We will mail or email contract information to you.

Vendors:  Booth space cost:  Corner Booths: $450; Normal Booths: $400; Table Booths: $240;
                    Bulk Floor Space (as available):  $3.00 per sq. ft. inside;  $0.40 per sq. ft. outside/front patio

Awards Banquet and Auction Dinner Ticket Reservations:

Contact Banquet Dinner Coordinator  to reserve tickets no later than February 26, 2009.

Tickets must be ordered in advance for the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening. 
The cost is $25 per person for adults (Saturday p.m.); *$15 if purchased in conjunction with a "Premium" Raffle Ticket..

Both the Red Roof Inn and Best Western Motels are located on Walnut Street in Cary near the US-64/US-1 Highway... See "GREEN" Arrow on Map! The NC State Fairgrounds is located at the intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Hillsborough Street. It is about 3 1/2 miles from the Fairgrounds to the Motels in Cary, NC.

Start from Fairgrounds... go southeast o Blue Ridge Rd. toward Hillsborough St./NC-54.... >(.7 mile)
Turn LEFT onto Western Blvd..... >(.1 mile)
Merge onto I-440 S / US-1 toward US-64 W / Apex... >(1.7 miles)
Take the I-440 / I-40 / US-64 E / OUTER BELTLINE exit- EXIT 1 - toward US-70 / Durham/Rocky Mount. >(1.0 mile)

LAST MINUTE INFO ON ORDERING BANQUET TICKETS

ATTENTION:  NCBA Members and other interested persons

 

The NC Bowhunter Venue begins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon;  9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday,  and runs until 4 p.m. on Saturday and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  The Convention is OPEN to the general public

Dixie Deer Classic 3-D Shoot:   The "3-D Shoot" also is open the same hours as the convention on all three days,  and is OPEN to the General Public as well!  Rules and Shooter fee to be announced at a later date. *Except.. the 3-D shoot will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday so the area can be set up for the NCBA Banquet which opens at 6 p.m.

The Banquet is also OPEN to the general public.  Tickets to the Banquet are by reservation only.  However, there may be a limited number of tickets available on Saturday.   Banquet ticket prices are $25 per person. Kids under 12 are "Free",  but advance reservations must be made,  same as paying adults. Cover Charge of $10 to attend banquet... meal NOT included.

VENDORS WELCOME and NEEDED ! :  IF you know of anyone, or a business (Hunting related), that may be interested in renting a booth at our convention,  please refer them to the President (Ramon Bell),  We have about 30...  10'x10' booths for rent inside the building and about 20 booths outside on the front concrete patio.
