23rd Annual NCBA Convention & Banquet

Attention Bowhunters:

Come join us in Raleigh for the North Carolina Bowhunters Association’s 23rd Annual Awards Banquet and
NC BOWHUNTERS VENUE

Both the convention and banquet are open to the general public. A full weekend of nothing but Bowhunting!  Indoor 3-D " Shoot, Seminars, vendors in the Exhibitor’s Hall, flint-knapping demonstrations, evening Awards Banquet with gigantic raffles and auctions!!!

Friday, March 6th:  DDC NC Bowhunter Venue Opens:  9:00 pm to 8:00 pm..   Vendor booths open..  3-D Shoot OPEN during all DDC hours in the Dorton Arena.

Saturday’s Schedule: (March 7, 2009)

9:00 am to 6:00 pm*...Doors Open to Public,  Exhibitor Room Opens.  3-D "Hunter" shoot OPENS at 9 a.m. and continues until 4 pm in the Dorton Arena.

Saturday...  3-D shoot will be closed at 4 pm on Saturday.

(6 pm until..)..Awards Banquet in the Kerr-Scott Building.

"Awards Banquet" begins at 6 pm (Social half-hour).. Dinner at 6:30 pm,  until conclusion...
The "Awards Banquet"  is a "smoke and alcohol free" event!
Cost: $25.00 per person; Kids under 12  "Free" with paying adult;

Details for PREMIUM* HUNTS RAFFLE:  A block of 120 tickets will be sold at $100 each.
(NOTE: ONE DINNER BANQUET TICKET WILL BE AVAILABLE at REDUCED PRICE of $15.00 if purchased in conjunction with a Premium Raffle Ticket.  ie: Premium Raffle Ticket with Banquet Ticket will cost $115.00)  These tickets are available NOW!  They must be purchased by February 26, 2009 to get the $10 discount on the banquet meal ticket.  You can choose any available number,  but those who purchased Premium Raffle last year will have first choice to purchase the same numbers this year up until February 1, 2009.  We will HOLD these numbers until this date. After February 1, 2009,  all unsold numbers will be available to anyone.  Each $100 ticket will also include 30 additional raffle tickets that can be used to win other "Commercial" and "Member" hunts.  The purchaser must use this ticket.  It is not transferable to another member/person.  Sorry,  but we can't afford to give away a banquet ticket at full value this year. 

The GRAND PRIZE  is an "African Safari" (7-day) hunt with Matlabas Game Hunters including: Lodging, Meals, Guide Services; Round-Trip Airfare from USA to Johannesburg, S. Africa, (Same as last year, IF minimum of 100 tickets are sold!) ; Pickup and return to airport; Trophy Fee allowance (To Be Announced)  You have to pay shipping of trophies to the USA and taxidermy fees.
NOTE: There will be at least TWELVE additional hunts given away in the PREMIUM* HUNTS RAFFLE... (Additional hunts to be announced later.) 
However many hunts are in the "Premium Raffle", that many numbers (Ping-pong balls) will be drawn.  The holders of these numbers will come to the front of the room. Each of these people WILL WIN A "PREMIUM" HUNT!   Their numbers (ping-pong balls) will be drawn again,  one at a time.  Members of the audience may "bid" to buy their numbers before and after each ball is drawn, or the holders of the ping-long balls may offer them for sale at any time during the process.  When a number (ball) is drawn, the holder may choose any one of the "Premium Hunts" from the list, including the "Grand Prize" at any time.  When all "Premium" hunts have been disposed of,  the "Commmercial" and "Member" hunts winners will be drawn from the individual raffle boxes.

Awards Banquet and Auction Dinner Ticket Reservations:

LAST MINUTE INFO ON ORDERING BANQUET TICKETS

ATTENTION:  NCBA Members and other interested persons
 
The NC Bowhunter Venue begins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon;  9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday,  and runs until 4 p.m. on Saturday and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  The Convention is OPEN to the general public

Dixie Deer Classic 3-D Shoot:   The "3-D Shoot" also is open the same hours as the convention on all three days,  and is OPEN to the General Public as well!  Rules and Shooter fee to be announced at a later date. *Except.. the 3-D shoot will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday so the area can be set up for the NCBA Banquet which opens at 6 p.m.

The Banquet is also OPEN to the general public.  Tickets to the Banquet are by reservation only.  However, there may be a limited number of tickets available on Saturday.   Banquet ticket prices are $25 per person. Kids under 12 are "Free",  but advance reservations must be made,  same as paying adults. Cover Charge of $10 to attend banquet... meal NOT included.

VENDORS WELCOME and NEEDED ! :  IF you know of anyone, or a business (Hunting related), that may be interested in renting a booth at our convention,  please refer them to the President (Ramon Bell),  We have about 30...  10'x10' booths for rent inside the building and about 20 booths outside on the front concrete patio.
