NCBA Bowhunting Journal
A Bowhunting Journal is a great way to record your hunts. A journal can be used to help you improve your scouting and your hunting success. It is also a great way to look back and remember good times, good friends, and good hunting.
Any hunter wishing to enter an NCBA contest such as Bowhunter of the Year, Youth Bowhunter of the year, etc, should fill out a bowhunting journal of some sort to document your activities and help you win the contest.
We invite you to look at, print out, and use our bowhunting journal.

The journal contains the following fields which can be filled out:
- Date : Date hunt took place
- Time : Duration of the hunt. This can be as simple as "morning, afternoon, evening, or all day"
- Location : Where the hunt took place
- Specie Hunted : The game species sought during the hunt
- Animals Seen : The number of game animals seen during the hunt
- Shots Passed : Shot opportunities not taken
- Shots Taken : Shot opportunities taken
- Animal Harvested : A short description of the game animal harvested
- Comments : Any other information you want to record
